About the map
I created this map out of the GPS coordinates saved on the images on my phone. The coordinates are always on the spot that I made the picture. Please have in mind that GPS is not 100% accurate, but this is as close as it gets.
Layers
There are three layers to the map. One for the Lord of the Rings filming locations, one for the Hobbit filming locations and one for other Middle Earth related stuff. You can hide / show the single layers.
Usage
By clicking on the button in the top right corner, you can open the map in a bigger window, which probably helps. You can also import this map into Google Maps on your mobile phone and get directions for the locations. Sometimes locations are very close and overlapping, so you have to scroll very deep to find all markers.
Information
On each marker, you find some additional information and I always describe how to access the location. If I got something wrong, you can always send me an email and I will fix it.
